-Overview-
MDS-7200A-HT High-Temperature Online Concentration Meter measures the concentration of a solution by optically determining the critical angle of the solution, utilizing a combined analog-digital principle. The light source inside the probe emits light at various angles onto the interface between the prism and the solution being measured. Due to differences in the angle of incidence, some light is totally reflected, some is partially reflected, and most is refracted into the measured solution, thereby creating an optical image composed of light and dark regions. The angle of incidence corresponding to the boundary between the dark and light regions is called the "critical angle." Changes in the critical angle cause a change in the light-to-dark ratio detected by the CCD sensor, which is a function of the refractive index. Since the solution concentration has a certain relationship with the refractive index, the solution concentration can be determined by measuring the critical angle.

-Benefits&Features-
The MDS-7200A-HT High-Temperature Online Concentration Meter employs a digital CCD (Charge-Coupled Device) to capture the optical image and the boundary line (shadow line). It converts the image information point by point into electrical signals to precisely locate the shadow line, thereby determining the refractive index (nD). The probe features a built-in temperature sensor that measures the medium temperature at the interface in real time. Based on the obtained nD and T values, the transmitter automatically performs temperature compensation to calculate and display the concentration value of the liquid. The electrical signals are further amplified and then converted into values such as mass concentration, solid content, Brix, density, and refractive index for display and remote transmission.
1. Flexible installation (suitable for pipelines, tanks, reactors, storage vessels, etc.), with various installation options including clamp, flange, and threaded connections
2. Unaffected by medium color, turbidity, viscosity, bubbles, solid impurities, or crystals; unaffected by changes in liquid pressure, flow rate fluctuations, or turbulence
3. User-configurable high/low alarms, touchscreen input for simple and intuitive operation, supports on-site alarm light connection
4. Nonlinear conversion relationship between refractive index and concentration, and temperature compensation database are programmed into the remote display controller.
independent of the probe
5. Probe self-diagnostic function clearly indicates fault causes, facilitating on-site maintenance and emergency handling
6. The RI calibration and adjustment function allows users to perform on-site RI calibration and adjustments to correct errors as needed
7. Equipped with intelligent chips, it requires no reagents or consumables for operation, with low power consumption; the internal light source has a lifespan of up to 100,000 hours, offering
high stability and long service life
8. Each probe is factory-calibrated to the same standards, allowing all probes to be freely interchanged without recalibration or parameter changes; one display controller can
connect to 1–3 probes
9. Before delivery, each probe is calibrated for refractive index (nD) and temperature (T) under standard units, with all probes calibrated identically (nD = 1.31…1.54, corresponding
to 0–100 Brix); built-in temperature compensation, delivered as a complete set for immediate installation and use
10. Built-in MAY-V6.3.43 concentration data processing system; for special working conditions, users can establish data models on-site, customize concentration curve correction
coefficients, and define multi-point temperature compensation values to ensure data consistency and improve measurement accuracy
