The MDS-AM15 is an 81GHz radar level gauge employing the Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) principle. It accurately calculates the distance to the material surface and thus the level height by emitting electromagnetic waves and analyzing the frequency difference between the emitted and echo signals.
Equipped with a 78mm diameter PTFE lens antenna with a beam angle of only 3°, the product features concentrated energy, strong anti-interference capabilities, and stable operation even in adhering, condensing, or low-dielectric-constant media. Process connections utilize flanges (≥DN80), and the process temperature range is -40°C to 200°C. The maximum process pressure is 2.5MPa, and the protection rating is IP67.
It can meet the complex level measurement needs of various liquids, including those in reaction vessels, large steam volumes, foam, crystallizing liquids, and hygienic liquids, and is also suitable for solid level monitoring.
The housing is available in aluminum, plastic, or stainless steel to adapt to different installation environments. Its small emission angle and strong penetration ensure reliable measurement in narrow tanks or environments with internal

1. Adaptable to various process environments from low to high temperatures and from normal to medium-high pressure. With different sealing materials, it meets the long-term stable measurement requirements of reactors and pipelines.
2. Offers lens antennas of different diameters. The emission angle increases as the antenna size decreases, allowing users to flexibly select the appropriate antenna based on tank space and interference conditions to optimize echo quality.
3. For applications with easily adhering solid materials or high dust levels, an optional purging antenna structure can be provided to effectively keep the lens surface clean and reduce the frequency of manual maintenance.
4. High-level protection housing, combined with cable sealing heads and blind plugging measures, prevents moisture and dust from entering the housing, ensuring long-term reliable operation in outdoor or humid environments.
5. Housing is available in various materials such as aluminum, stainless steel, and plastic. Single-chamber or dual-chamber structures can be configured as needed to adapt to corrosive environments or special requirements such as electromagnetic compatibility.
6. Supports outputting preset current values (e.g., 3.9mA, 20.5mA, 22mA, or remaining constant) under fault conditions, facilitating the control system's identification of instrument anomalies and improving process safety.
