MDS-CL Series Gear Flowmeter is a positive displacement flow meter. It operates by using the pressure difference between the inlet and outlet as liquid passes through the chamber, driving a pair of precision gears to mesh and rotate. This splits the fluid into metered volumes of known standard size and counts them sequentially, achieving high-precision total volume measurement. A built-in non-contact sensor detects the gear rotation to generate pulse signals, which are digitally processed to output a square wave. The flowmeter can be used with PLCs, display instruments, or wireless remote transmission modules to display instantaneous flow and cumulative flow.
This series of flowmeters can be installed horizontally or vertically, requiring a full pipe, bubble-free conditions, and stable pressure. The product supports multiple output methods, including 4-20mA, RS485 (Modbus-RTU protocol), pulse, and switch alarm outputs. It is equipped with an LCD and supports on-site parameter configuration (such as range, damping time, upper/lower limit alarms, linear correction, etc.). Power supply options are flexible, with an internal lithium battery or an external DC24V available. It also features reverse polarity protection and an electrical isolation design.
The MDS-CL series is suitable for flow measurement of clean liquids. It requires low maintenance and provides a stable, reliable metering solution in industries such as chemical, energy, and water treatment.
